Friends of the Gallery support a vital educational and cultural space for artistic exploration and experimentation, expanding the experiences of our audiences, both on and off campus. Friends of the Gallery help sustain community-based engagement through our programs, from educational workshops to large-scale participatory initiatives, using socially engaged processes.

A place where ideas are challenged, conversations are started, and the unexpected happens. Your gift supports exhibition programming, brings international contemporary artists to the GTA, sustains our free public programming, and ensures that we can care for our collection.

Student (free)

Friend ($50 to $250/yr)

  • 25% discount on gallery publications

Advocate ($250 to $1,000/yr)

  • 25% discount on gallery publications
  • 15% discount at Yorku Bookstore
  • Invite to exhibition preview reception
    Advocates will also receive an annual group tour with the Director/Curator

 

Visionary ($1,000+/yr)

  • Complimentary copies of current gallery publications
  • 15% discount at Yorku Bookstore
  • Invite to exhibition preview reception
    Visionaries will also receive a private tour with the Director/Curator, including a behind-the-scenes tour of the Visible Vault

The Gallery is currently applying for ROAM which will provide access for Advocates and Visionaries to over 1,000 art and cultural institutions across North America through the Reciprocal Organization of Associated Museums.

To become a student member, come to the gallery during opening hours to sign up.
