Julia Nelson
Vertiginous Fields
20 – 24 April 1998
Julia Nelson‘s exhibition, Vertiginous Fields, features a series of paintings and prints that speak of the nomadism that is inherent to contemporary culture. She draws from her complex history, producing a body of work that questions notions of ‘origins’ and also celebrates journeying as a means for survival. Nelson’s works are personal territories that invite the viewer to move through the pathways that traverse the rich surfaces of her paintings
