Sandra Brewster: Going Down Memory Lane
And what better way to celebrate this momentous occasion than with one of Toronto’s most celebrated artists: Sandra Brewster. In Going Down Memory Lane Brewster brings us a Diasporic re-mix of all the songs from the 70s that remind her of her childhood. In honour of the Caribbean communities of that came to Toronto in the 70s, Brewster recreates the social circumstances that folks orchestrated in search of new communities that bridged back home.
The Performance Bus Departs OCADU (100 McCaul Street) to the exhibition opening of Marlon Griffith’s Symbols of Endurance on Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at 6 pm sharp and returns downtown at 9 pm.
